Power Play Rock & Metal Magazine - Interview

His style of music is for the most part straight-ahead hard rock. "It could be argued that my compositions differ within that style in being simpler in stature, but strong in delivery, not unlike AC/DC in that regard. I love to create what is best for the song. If it calls to me to keep a simple pattern because the lyrics seem to drive the energy and emotion, then I concede to the song," explains the musician.

Power Play Rock & Metal Magazine - Album Review

Hailing from East Bay, CA, USA, we find solo artist DARREN LEE RICHARDSON. He has an excellent new ten track album out now called 'Next We Rock' which clocks in at around thirty-nine minutes long and is the artists sophomore full length release. He has released other band related projects over the years. 'Next We Rock' flows perfectly the production is crisp and I recommend checking this out.

A Rare Single Release

DarrenLeeRichardson_UHFEO_BothTooSmall_2025(SingleRelease).jpg

My new song, 'Both Too Small', was released on Bandcamp on 4/28/2025!

James Allan Stellar, host of Indie Boo Shockwave, was gracious enough to give me a spotlight to debut my new song. Checkout the video here!

You can hear it or get it on Bandcamp here! It will also be on my next album, 'Until Hell Freezes Ever Over'.

The song is about the love of watching a child grow. It was thirteen years in the making because the final verse could not be written until my child's life had progressed more.

It's Harry Chapin's 'Cats In The Cradle', but from the POV of being there for your child.
